SmartTip — Smart Tip Calculator

Overview

SmartTip ("the App") is a tip and bill-splitting calculator developed for Android. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information. In short: SmartTip does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, because it does not need to.

No data collection No internet access No permissions requested No ads No account required

Information We Collect

SmartTip collects no information whatsoever. The App does not request an internet connection, does not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and does not integrate any advertising network. Any values you type into the App — bill amount, tip percentage, or number of people — are used only to perform an on-device calculation and are never saved to a file, server, or third party.

Permissions

SmartTip requests zero Android permissions. It cannot access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, storage, or any other sensitive resource on your device.

Data Storage

The only piece of information the App remembers between sessions is your chosen display theme (Light or Dark mode). This preference is stored locally on your device using standard Android app storage and is never transmitted anywhere. Uninstalling the App permanently removes this setting.

Third-Party Services

SmartTip does not use any third-party SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or cloud services. There are no third parties with whom data could be shared, because the App works entirely offline.

Children's Privacy

SmartTip does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13, because it does not collect information from any user at all.

Changes to This Policy

If SmartTip's functionality ever changes in a way that affects this policy, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date below will reflect the change. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
